DASSAULT RAFALE AIRCRAFT





GENERAL INFORMATION-

Dassault Rafale is an omnirole, canard delta wing, twin-engine fighter aircraft designed and made by french company Dassault aviation. 
Its first flight took place in June 1986 and was introduced in French Air Force in May 2001. 
There are mainly 3 variants of Rafale aircraft-
  1. Rafale B-  Twin-seat land-based variant.
  2. Rafale C-  Single-seat land-based variant.
  3. Rafale M-  Single-seat aircraft carrier-based variant.

the Rafale aircraft has been involved in various operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Mali, Libya, Sudan, Central African Republic, Bosnia. Kosovo.

DEFENCE CURRENT AFFAIRS (september)

1. INDIA -AUSTRALIA  did the 4th  AUSINDEX naval exercise in September 2021. This biannual naval exercise started in 2015. It was conducted in the North Australian Exercise Area. INS Shivalik and INS Kadmatt participated in this exercise which is the Guided Missile Stealth Frigate and Anti-Submarine Corvette respectively. in 2019 this exercise was conducted in the Bay Of Bengal. 2.  India’s DRDO has developed the technology of the Floating Test Range(FTR). This FTR will be named INS Anvesh. Its displacement will be 9000tons. It is being manufactured by Cochin Shipyard Ltd. 3. The National Intelligence Grid or NATGRID was allotted funding by the central govt.
